We believe a soap bar should be something you can read the label on. Every ingredient we use has a purpose — and a story.

We start our body soaps with a base of skin-loving oil — lard — then layer in botanicals, clays, and essential oils chosen for what they actually do for your skin. We start our body soaps with a base of carefully chosen fats and oils — including lard, plant oils, and nourishing butters — then build each recipe with ingredients selected for a purpose. Clays, botanicals, essential oils, and fine fragrance give every bar its own character. No sulfates. No unnecessary extras. Just thoughtfully formulated, cold-process soap made by hand in small batches — with every ingredient clearly listed so you always know what's in your bar.

Activated charcoal is a fine, naturally derived black powder made from carbon-rich materials that are heated and processed to create a highly porous surface. In our cold-process soap, it provides a beautiful, naturally deep color while helping absorb excess surface oils and gently cleanse away everyday dirt and impurities. Paired with the naturally occurring glycerin in our soap, activated charcoal creates a fresh, clean feel without taking away from the gentle, conditioning qualities we want in every bar.

Base Oil - Deeply nourishing

Often called "liquid gold," argan oil is naturally rich in fatty acids and vitamin E, making it a beautiful choice for nourishing and softening the skin. Lightweight yet deeply moisturizing, it helps support a smooth, supple appearance while giving our facial serum its rich, luxurious feel.

Base Oil - Conditioning lather

A little goes a long way. Castor oil helps create a rich, creamy lather while supporting longer-lasting bubbles and a smooth, conditioning feel.

Base Oil - Cleansing & bubbly lather

Coconut oil brings the bubbles. It's a natural cleanser that creates a rich, fluffy lather and helps the bar harden for a longer-lasting bar. We balance it carefully so it cleanses without over-drying.

Botanical - Soothing for sensitive skin

Finely milled oats have been used for centuries to calm irritated, reactive skin. Colloidal oat forms a gentle protective film on the skin's surface, reducing redness and locking in moisture. Perfect for eczema-prone or sensitive skin.

Mineral - Ethically sourced

Mica is a naturally occurring mineral that adds beautiful color and a soft, subtle shimmer to our soaps. The fine mineral flakes are blended with carefully produced pigments to create the rich, consistent colors you see in each bar while avoiding the impurities that can occur in raw, unrefined earth-mined pigments. We choose cosmetic-grade mica made specifically for use in personal care products, allowing us to add a little beauty while keeping our ingredients simple and thoughtfully selected.

Botanical - Natural scent & skin benefits

We scent every bar with pure essential oils — never synthetic fragrance. Lavender calms, peppermint invigorates, lemon brightens, and rose soothes. Each oil is chosen for both its scent and its skin-supporting properties.

Scent and character

Fragrance gives us the freedom to create scents that simply aren't possible with essential oils alone — from coastal air and warm woods to soft florals, fruits, and comforting blends. We choose fragrances specifically formulated for use in soap and use them within recommended skin-safe limits. Some bars are scented with fragrance, some with essential oils, and some with a blend of both — and we'll always tell you what's in your bar.

Base Oil - Lightweight & balancing

Jojoba oil is a lightweight, silky oil with a composition similar to the skin's natural sebum, allowing it to absorb beautifully without feeling heavy or greasy. It helps soften and condition the skin while balancing the richer oils in our facial serum for a smooth, comfortable finish.

Clay - Gentle detox & slip

The gentlest of the clays, kaolin draws out impurities and excess oil without stripping the skin. It also adds a silky slip to the lather that makes the bar glide smoothly. Great for all skin types, including sensitive.

Base Oil - Deeply moisturizing

The backbone of our bars. Lard is naturally rich in skin-loving fatty acids that create a gentle, conditioning bar with a creamy, moisturizing lather. Our traditional cold-process method preserves the soap’s naturally occurring glycerin, while the lard helps create a firm, long-lasting bar without harsh synthetic detergents or unnecessary additives. We use locally sourced lard from a USDA-certified processor, keeping our soap simple, traditional, and close to home.

Butter - Nourishing & protective

Unrefined shea butter is packed with vitamins A and E, fatty acids, and natural anti-inflammatories. It adds a silky, protective quality to the lather and leaves skin feeling genuinely nourished — not just coated.

Saponification - Essential to soapmaking

Sodium hydroxide, commonly known as lye, is an essential part of traditional cold-process soapmaking. When carefully combined with oils and fats, it begins a natural chemical process called saponification, transforming those ingredients into soap and naturally occurring glycerin. In a properly formulated and fully cured bar, the lye has been consumed through this process, leaving behind the gentle, handcrafted soap we use every day.

Base Oil - Richly conditioning

Rich and deeply conditioning, tallow is prized in traditional soapmaking for creating a firm, long-lasting bar with a smooth, creamy lather. Naturally rich in fatty acids, it helps leave skin feeling soft and conditioned while giving our bars their luxurious feel. Combined with the naturally occurring glycerin preserved through our cold-process method, tallow creates a beautifully simple soap that cleanses without feeling harsh or stripping.

Mineral - Natural colorant

A mineral-based colorant that helps create the soft whites, creams, and lighter tones in our soap designs. We use just a touch when needed to brighten a bar and bring our swirls and colors to life.
